from lvl 1-5 i would fail 33% to 100% of my 1st circle spells. imho, the fizzle rate should be toned down b/c with 30 sec mem times per spell makes prep times last 5 minutes sometimes, and mages in combat are very unreliable (and magic missile and burning hands do squat damage from lvl 1-5)

Heh... I noticed the excessive stuttering too... thought it was cause I was a Ranger tho...

I've noticed lots of fails too.
like last time i needed a ration, stuttering 6 times in a row! which is really annoying when i only keep one of those spells mem'd

For a highest circle spell (that is, not mastered) I succeed about one in 5 tries. The odds did seem to be increasing though, as it was originally one in six.

I dint have too much of a problem with failing a spell but I was constantly missing with MM. realy annoying. I think this was fixed though.
