Well, everyone else's favorite spell seems to be moonwell, they always want me to cast it.
But my personal favorite spell would have to be suffocate!
You complete your spell...
The shady youth suddenly looks speechless!
The shady youth slumps to the ground.
the shady youth collapses, his face turned completely blue!
the shady youth is dead! R.I.P.
The shady youth slumps to the ground.
You receive your share of experience.
Your blood freezes as you hear the rattling death cry of the shady youth.
It's better when you suffocate happy children, er, uhm.

Tossup between inferno and moonwell. The excitement I felt when I got both is pretty much equal; inferno for being neck-and-neck with Mplor for solving it, and well just because it was the first time I'd hit 10th circ. I was so excited by getting well that I worded home immediately and shouted soliciting wells. :P Of course, that naive excitement gave way to the usual disgruntled grumbling about being a glorified taxi, but I digress... doom was fun as well, if only to be a wielder of the most powerful spell in the game at the time. (with regards to sheer damaging power, that is).
It also deflated my balloon a bit when I first learned inferno and went to try it out only to find that it did less damage than ice storm--yes, you heard that right. Less damage than ice storm. :P Inferno being, for a time, a nofail shattering of coldshields and other than that severely outclassed by meteor swarm... but that was, thankfully, fixed in short order.
