An apprentice mage misses you with his hit.
An apprentice mage clambers to his feet.

You probably went through the image and into the mage. Way to line them up like that!

this is probably the 5th thread on the subject...

not only is there the inconsistency of a mirror breaking but the mage actually falling to the ground...

theres the practical problem that illusionist players are not notified when they are bashed.

It's been brought up 50 times, but that would still be my only pet peeve with illusionists. Can we please get a sprawling message even if bash knocks off a mirror image?

I seem to remember (and someone seemed to confirm this) that during alpha bashing that shattered a mirror image didn't actually bash the caster and that this was decided to be too powerful.

Confirm?

It may very well be too powerful. I dont remember if there was an issue during alpha. Being made !bash does seem pretty strong. I don't mind being bashable through mirror.. I just want to see the message.

Well, eles get !bash with air/fire embody and chanters get !bash with enlarge/reduce...

But yes, the important thing is getting the message.

Last I checked, you could be bashed with embody. You're only partially wraith.

Last I checked, enlarge/reduce didn't do squat for humans anymore. Only elves/dwarves.

So no, it's not a blanket '!bash' across the board.

And yes, they should see the message with mirror image.
