oh yes the protection from vamp touch that we all know about. . .yea. . .thats it. =P Sorry, rumors and speculation means nothing. . . if someone would like to not play these silly games and come out and _tell_ us what the protection is that'd be great. OK, lemme state clearly, since the helpfile was apparently never updated:

Protection from Undead provides some measure of protection from vampiric touch.

Hrm... guess I should have said 'as clearly as I'm going to state it'...

Actually, you do have to hit in order for vampiric touch to land. However- the hit isn't displayed, so you may get an OUCH message with no hit message. So in that instance, the rhemo attacked you three times- missed two of them, and landed one, which vamped you- giving you the ouch message.

Yeah let someone put protection from undead on an item so another twink item can go in the game like the hide cloaks et al.

But lets downgrade epic quest items, yep, you can see how well the area board can review items.

Last time I checked pfu worked fine.
And just like Ilshad said..

However, CC was changed so that they just outside level cap iirc in soj2..

I still use PFU when twinking other places with lots of undead

Sorry Thanuk, I don't get final say on item creation, a panel of area gods review it and decide what power the item is allowed, it is obvious the panel is not doing a very good job, since there is already 4 daggers from BC in the game yet only 4 oakvale quests completed in 2 years, and BC has not been in the game that long.

Now since you really have no understanding of area creation it is pointless to discuss it with you...and i am sorry that you are unaware, if an item did have pfu on it, no undead could attack you (.), unless it was a level umm 61 mob. Of course there is not PFU flag yet, but that does not mean one would/could not be made.

Oh and thanuk, I haev several 40+ level character, I just don't play under any of my old names that much, so Keep it real, Small head / Big body boy!

(I think I remeber that from your descrip from Sojourn1)

Im sorry nobody does your quest, its probably just cuz its really, really annoying.
Im sorry i didn't know that about pfu either, but since there is no item with pfu on it, theres really no way that i COULD know that, now is there? So taunting me with information that i couldn't possibly have is kinda dumb, even if it makes you feel smart

But since that flag doesn't even exist, its amazing how much extensive knowledge you already have about it, so theres something to be proud of!

But if your honestly telling me that having this spell means that no undead under level 61 can attack you, at all, ill call you a liar. Given the tight lock placed on equipment power, as well as player power, i find it hard to believe that a spell like this could slip through all the cracks and just be in the game. I don't know very much about the spell, and its not a real high priority on my spellup list i admit, but i cant believe that you can pfu yourself and run around inside the netheril crypts untouched. Maybe lowlevel undead ill buy, like UF or the like, but every mob under 61? Im having a hard time buying this. Please enlighten me.

Actually, isn't there an item with Prot: undead on it? It's the same place you get the mace of disruption from....
Neckwear with prot: undead and +2 max_wis if i remember correctly... could see how you big kids would overlook it.
