Now sit right down and I'll tell you a tale
Straight out of the mists of Thunderhead Peak
Where giant mithril tankards filled with ale
Were what Gormal Stoneforge had wished to seek
He returned to me with a secret learned
And the stench of death and decay spoke well
To the horrors of that city upturned
And this is where I will start to retell
In Thunderholme where dwarves supremely reigned
An ancient secret lies beneath the stone
Patiently aware the Sibilant Shade
Rests within her Necropolis abode
Penitent follower of Night Dragon
Augloroasa, incarnate evil
Vile corrupter of Belgin's son, Dagan
Secret source of Thunderholme's upheaval
When dwarven miners, her lair invaded
Decades of sleep washed away in their blood
And once more the cavern barricaded
Malevolent thinking began to flood
For twelve years the Draconian waited
Using her shadowy agents as eyes
Deviously a plan she created
To secretly usurp those dwarven lives
Culling the mind of High Old One Dagan
Sibilant Shade from the shadows whispered
Soon the poisoning of his mind began
Unaware he was of soon being martyred
By her wisdom he rose to office high
Serving as the High Priest of Dumathoin
As the patient shadow drew ever nigh
To getting that which she wished to purloin
King Emerlin and son quickly dispatched
By unseen assassins sent by the lich
The stealthily undoing without match
Caused by will of that Draconian bitch
Without their dear king or his successor
The dwarven people turned their heads to him
Looking not the least bit an aggressor
Belying his nightmarish plans so grim
He called for the artisans to begin
A holy construct in the city's heart
Following years saw sanity tailspin
The sliver in his mind tore it apart
The dedication of the temple came
But the dwarves hopeful thoughts were not affirmed
And the regent-priest had chosen a name
Calling it Necropolis of the Wyrm
And as the dwarves recoiled in fearful rage
Dagan announced his dark lord's avatar
Letting loose on them the Sibilant Shade
Who had watched the proceedings from afar
The fleeing dwarves had no time to react
The swift hatred long stored behind stone walls
Let loose and quickly the town was ransacked
And naught but a few survived the downfall
And satisfied at long last by her deed
Augloroasa, The Sibilant Shade
Stood at the temple dais and decreed
The city her lair 'til her dying day
And thus ends the tale of Thunderholme's end
O'ertaken by the wicked saboteur
Usurped from their grasp by Draconian
Now but a magnificent sepulcher
FaCtOr Epic.
