Kadislan: Victory of Shadow - Tel'arato Dagor

Postby Lahgen » Sun Nov 13, 2005 9:07 pm

Shadow seducer, twilight, eternal
Undying ambition below
The fate of Thunder dwarves infernal
The agony of souls did they undergo

Vengeance, vengeance, for unbidden mine
The power of shadow thus roused
Pity, pity, for the dwarven now thine
Their flesh and their life force now doused

Thunderholme, Thunderholme, shadow beware
For now you have earned her ire
The Sibilant Shade shall now make you her lair
Your traditions lost in shadowy mire

How brilliant, how bright your mind
Your genius formed of twilight
The Sibilant Shade conquers the blind
The fool dwarves crushed by your might

The caves, fertile, of dwarven dream
Your former lair, O Sibilant Seducer
Lust of death, the dwarf priest's scream
Oh, the depths to which you reduced her

Dagan, Dagan, the bearded fool
Puppet of the Seducer's plans
In Her hands you were the perfect tool
To bring ruin to the dwarven clans

The way, your way, was finally done
With regent's blood the road was made
Of the dwarves, who could oppose? None
Their home become your unholy glade

A score, a score of mortal years
The bearded fool slave was driven
A majestic temple, from blood and tears
And great dwarven stonecraft was riven

Traitor, traitor, against the Keeper
So complete did you dominate him
To underground temple Dagan went deeper
To Wyrm of Fate he did sing a hymn

Outcry, unspeakable, cried the folk
The Necropolis of the Wyrm now done
Dagan then burned an unholy smoke
To call Null, to blot out the sun

To them, the faithful, signed was their fate
The traitor priest's conjuration complete
In their refusal to see the Wyrm as great
They sought to flee, they sought to retreat

Blessedly, cursed, her newfound thralls
Only the lucky sent to their Lord
The remainder now wander the temple halls
In unlife they now wield the sword

Not enough, not enough, the diet of stones
You made of those who lacked speed
Those who fled you, reduced them to bones
Their limbs crushed, their eyes made to bleed

Keeper, Keeper, your chosen ones slain
Your home and your temple now Null's
The works of your people have been all in vain
The throne of the Shadow, their skulls

Mournful, the requiem, the dwarven dirge
Of Your making, oh Sibilant Shade
From mines abandoned did you emerge
You made the Keeper's sons fade

Dorgh group-says 'damn, even with Cofen helping Mori, they STILL can't kill someone
Hekanut says 'I know level doesn't matter much, but most won't take seriously if a level 2 claims to be the best thing before, during, and after sliced bread.'

Rather than seeing "subpar race/class," see "challenge."
