Almile, a poor old elven hag living in the woods near Leuthilspar was thinking about her lessons of life. And considerd each lesson one by one. She now gladly tells her stories of her life but before only a few would know them. Now the young elven lads seek out her wisdom and advice about the power of a spell, the value of a piece of junk found on the land far away from the island. And when a elven lad is patience enough to learn her wisdom as far as somebody can consider she got it. They maybe learn the 7 lessons of her life. This tale is about the first lesson of her life.

lesson 1: Power and a price

In her younger days she roamed the island of Evermeet, looking for challenges and evil, in those days she thought nothing could hurt her. Her spells slayed the evil or things opposing her, and her name would cause more then a few lowered voices. Till the day she thought she could challenge the royal elder court. The queen mighty as she stood, her guards protecting her back.

Her spells caught the guards in surprise, but the elder queen looked at her in disgust, instead of assisting her guards she watched the fray. On the sounds of battle a brave hobgoblin Captain joined the fray and even for her skills this would prove a big challenge. Still without fear she started to cast her most powerful spells, ice would protect her body and blizzard the room, a real slaughter was getting started.

The guards could not match this violence and the captain stood also on his last legs, but the she did not count on the Queen, who till now only had watched the fray. The Queen was angry as the deepest spawn of Hell. Her dress was ruined because of ice storm casted by Almile. And to Almile's fear her ice was challenged by clouds of fire.

Her believe that her power would never be matched was soon be made untrue. Her skin looked in a few moments more like tar pit of burns then the light white tanned skin she always had. At least some luck was with her, and a powerful teleportation spell brought her in safety of the woods. She stood there confused about what was happened and how this could have happened. She defeated by a few minor beings, inferior to her skills and power!

But the battle was not over. The queen angry as she was open a portal to Almile and stepped straight through it cackling in insane madness. Almile recovered quick her senses and fled out of the forest to Leuthilspar where she sat trembling at the fountain in fear.
