Clan of the Winterwolf

Postby Sundara » Sat Feb 16, 2002 8:24 am

Three days had passed by and a large barbarian that stood almost seven feet tall with long dirty blonde hair that spilled out from his horned helm spotted an abandoned wagon that seemed completely destroyed. He was followed by two other barbarians who actively searched for any signs of life. 'Romka', the chief called out to one of his companions, 'what do you make of this?' The shaman sighed, 'my chief, they did not make it.' Velkin groans, 'Tempus, may your eyes catch what we miss.' His bright blue orbs scanned the scene and spotted a silver medalion that shined out from the snow. His long strides did not take him long to arrive. He bent down to pick up the medalion with the symbol of a gauntlet hand. 'My dear friend Corian did not make it.' as he whispered underneath his breath. Romkah stood nearly as tall as Velkin but thinner in comparison to the chief of the tribe holding onto his spirit totems. He called forth his familiar and a falcon flew towards him gently landing on his forearm, 'Sima, go forth and find any signs of life.' The falcon extended his magnificant dark pearl colored wings and lifted off into the sky steering close by.

Shalkeem thundered forth from the trees calling out in a bellowing voice, 'My chief, snow trolls merge to the east!' Velkin quickly grabbed his double bladed war axe. 'Romkah, what does your bird see?' the shaman shared the falcon's vision and replied, 'he sees no danger near us, but he sees a small cave with something small bundled inside it.' Velkin nods in acknowlegemnt, 'lead us to it.'

A soft weeping voice echoed within the cave and the falcon stood right next to the bundle and squaked for its master to hear out his call. Finally the barbarians arrived at the entrance of the small cave and Shalkeem stood guard with his axe. 'whats in there?' Romkah called out to his familiar as it sat on his forearm, 'well done, Sima.' Velkin squated and opend up the bundle of furs, 'By Tempus, we have found a small child!' The little girl weeped and looked very sick and pale. 'This child belongs to Corian and Linlay, she resembles them so.' Velkin quickly wrapped the child once again and gently gathered her into his arms. 'We must take her to our camp quickly for I do not know how long she has left to survive.'

In the care of the Winterwolf Clan, it did not take long for Sundara to lead a healthy life with her new adoptive family. She was welcomed into the clan and was given the name Winterwolf at the age of six when they discovered her existance and was raised by one of the best tribes in Icewind Dale.

Like her biological father, she became a cleric but worshiped the God Tempus for she felt that Torm had abandoned her true parents in the time of need. Romkah tought her the basic ways of healing with various herbs and spices but she yearned to learn more and sought wisdom thru Tempus. She became one of the most finest healers, a warrior who served her barbarian God well in calls of battles through out the lands of the north and traveled with her close brothers to heal them in their fight against their foes. The benefits of these experiences and practices from past adventures with her clan allowed her to harness her skills as a fighter and learned to be intuned with the great God of War, whom in many occasions, listened to her petitions and used her as a vessel granting her the divine powers neccessary. She was a natural. Her curiousity and thirst for adventures made her wan't to explore the realms and beyond.

Here is another bump
