Spiraling toward chaos.

Looking over his shoulder as he ran, the disfigured giant
stumbled over everything in its path. The fomorian had known many
things in its short life, smarter then most of its kind, and for the
first time it finally knew fear. The giant kin was hobbling at a
dead run from the beast that chased him.

This beast that had slaughtered his whole tribe without even breaking a sweat. Krad was
the chief of the tribe, a position he earned by being the most wicked
of his vile race. Now his tribe lay in pools of their own blood,
eightyfive in all, dead in a matter of minutes.

The giant finnaly made it to a clering in the woods, and stopped
to catch its breath. Looking all around it could not see or hear
anything coming from the direction of the camp. Krad found a rock and
sat down resting for the first time in what seemed like hours, when
the area became totally silent. No birds called out into the night,
the constant chirping of crickets and other insects vanished
completely. The beast had arrived.

Krad scanned the area for signs of the marauder. A bright jade
flame came into view in the northern part of the clearing. The
giant's gaze locked onto that green flame, for he knew that it meant
his death. The monster had one eye, that burned with a flame so
intense that it pierced the soul.

"Krad! I've chased you far enough, are you ready to be reunited
with the rest of your tribe?" The words were cold and seemed to come
from nowhere, yet everywhere all at once.

"Monster no kill Krad! Krad strongest of all fomorians, Krad
kill you!" shouted Krad as he charged the beast that had been hunting
him.

The giant raised his club high above his head and swung it down
with tremendous force at the being in front of him. The "beast"
sidestepped the blow a split second before impact. The club came in
from the left with a astonishing speed and strength behind it, but
the figure brought up a mace made of pure fire and parried the blow
as if it were a little boy swinging a stick at him.

"You will have to do better then that Krad, I thought you would
fight better then the rest of your pathetic tribe." With that the
figure leapt back from the giant and pulled a few acorns out of his
robe pocket. He then took the acorns and tossed them in the air
where they stood motionless floating in mid-air. Muttering something
under his breath a streak of jade fire lept from his right eye and
set the floating acorns ablaze.

Krad looked at the blazing balls floating near the beast, mouth
agape in awe. The figure pointed his finger at the giant and
proclaimed "Your kind has cost me too much, you are a filth upon the
face of the realm. You destroy all, with no regard to the balance or
to the nature around you. For that I cannot have you live."

The figure turned to walk away as the jade flames of the acorns
grew to gigantic proportions and blasted the life away of the
quivering fomorian.

"That was for you Goldwing." the figure whispered under his
breath as he wiped a tear from his eye.

The druid made his way back to the camp of the tribe he just
slaughtered and searched for things he could give out to the starving
and homeless people he always happened upon in his journies.

"And I thought the drow were cold blooded killers, you Abbil
could put most of them to shame."

The killer looked around, and seen a lithe figure emerge from
the shadows, silent as a cat and twice as graceful.

The druid looked away, head hung in shame. He turned to his
friend and said "I kill only when I need to, but you know as well as
any my hatred for fomorians."

Nilan strode over to his friend and put a hand on his shoulder.
Smiling as he looked at him, he whispered "She would be proud of you,
and I know how much you hate them, but couldn't you do it in a more
controlled manner?"

Dranix looked at the drow with a crack of a smile on his
face. "I could, but what would be the point, they live purely on
carnage. I just did to them what they have done to countless others."

"He was not here though, he should have been but he was not. Why
can't I find him, how does he always elude me when I think I have him
in my grasp?" the druid muttered under his breath.

The drow studied his friend carefully. "Who are you talking
about Abbil? Who are you lookig for?"

Dranix lifted his head staring to the sky and said "Ghind is his
name, a monster of a fomorian. It was he who took her away from me. I
have yet to find him. I need to find him! I will not rest until he is
dead!."

"Ghind eh? Might be that I could find him for ya." The voice
came from behind the pair.

Nilan twirled around blades in hand and stared hard at the
intruder. Never letting his gaze off of the man that walked into the
camp until he recognized who was striding towards them.

"Gantoris, how are you my friend? And whats this about you being
able to help me find him?" asked Dranix.

"Vermillion Shadow has many contacts, join me and those contacts
will be at your disposal." Gantoris said as he sat down next to the
druid.

Dranix looked at the human and thought it over for a bit. He
glanced over to Nilan, who just opened his arms as if he had no
advice to give.

"Maybe, I will need a little time to think this over my friend.
I will also need to speak with the Circle, after that you will have
my answer." with that the druid walked out of the camp leaving
Gantoris and Nilan alone.

"Well then, it looks like his ailment is clearing up atleast"
Gantoris chuckled after Dranix left the camp.

Nilan looked over to Gantoris and shook his head "He is worse
then ever, have you ever seen anything like this? His health problems
are being supressed somehow though he is still unhealthy, but his
rage and hatred of fomorians has grown ten fold."

Gantoris scanned the battlefield and shook his head "Atleast we
aren't fomorians."
