[OOC:] I was sitting in my Shakespeare class last week sometime and decided I'd try my hand at it. The story between Deshana and Lazus would make an excellent one... Oh yeah. This sonnet is 100% in character, and shows Lazus' feelings on the matter. Also, this is my first ever attempt at poetry/verse, so bear with me.. So here it is. A sonnet in the English/Shakespearian style, more or less in Iambic Pentameter. [/OOC]
I look at this, a thing of beauty true,
An elf, her grace has stole my heart away;
For her there is nothing I would not do,
She holds my heart in hers, I pray it stay.
When we go around the twon and talk,
Peace, I see in my hearts waking eye;
In my soul I feel that I shan't balk,
Noone loves this elf as much as I.
I can't have this elf so frail and fair,
Swift her heart has to see me die;
Treach'rous love, "Go back into your lair!"
I shout as I am forced to say good-bye.
"Desh, I wish that we could still be friends,"
"But , I fear our joy is at its end."
