End of a Dark Tunnel
You stand at the end of a dark tunnel. The underground tunnel
continues to the west. A large cave-in has occurred here at one
point, blocking any further passage on down the corridor to the
east. A message carved in elven into the tunnel wall reads...

"They took you from me, my dear Eshandriel, they fled into the
shadows of the deep with our life a spattered trail of blood,
strewn on the ground.

I failed you, in these tunnels, for the passage is blocked and
my strength failed me. I do love you. I long to join you, but for
the hate within me.

I still hear your cries in the deep. I cannot stay here on this
island, like the others before me, I am leaving soon. They will
pay for this ill they have wrought, they will die screaming in
the darkness.

I will become the shadow in which they live. In which they die.

I will see you again.

Shevarash watch over me."

A torch is here fastened to the tunnel wall, flickering in the dark.
A dagger, its tip worn to a nub, lays here in a pile of dust.
