Game Update Notes: 4/5/2009

The following changes were added in the 4/05/2009 game update:


  • Healing Aura: New 8th circle cleric spell, check helpfile for details.
  • Sandstorm: This spell is now available to Invokers at 10th circle, with a recharge.
  • Divine Power: This spell can now be used in combat.
  • Righteous Might: This spell can now be used in combat.
  • a heavy adamantine mace with winged flanges: This item now features a special proc.
  • a pair of thorn covered gauntlets: This item now features a special proc.

Notes:

Sandstorm, originally written 11 years ago, is now finally available to players at the rate of twice per day. That rate may be tweaked if needed. This is another scroll spell that will have to be hunted down to be used, and you may want to start by investigating lairs beneath the sands.

Healing Aura is a new type of spell for Toril: heal over time. Rather than burst all of it's healing upfront, it will spread out it's effect over ten rounds on the affected character. Please note that the rates and healing amounts of this spell are likely to be tweaked until we find the right balance. Look within a court of royals to obtain the scroll that will teach you this spell.

Mace still sucks.
It will be fixed in Toril 2.0.

Why would you want a blur (hits, not the spell) on an item with spell focus? Also, it's an epic quest for an item that has no use in zoning. So I basically zoned and quested for a novelty item that has no practical use.
It will be fixed in Toril 2.0.

I suggest you mmail or email Callarduran with your concerns. In this case I did code the proc, but to his specifications. I had thought you were implying that the proc didn't function in your original post.

Naw the code doesn't crash the game and gives extra attacks. Seems coo.
It will be fixed in Toril 2.0.

care to update the helpfile in game? makes no sense to me that youd write a help file for healing aura and update the skill_cleric/skill_invoker files but not update the 11 year old spell help file

is it possible there's also a plan for acidstorm in the near future?
