this may have already been answered and i just didnt see it, but am i seeing things or is parry really the only defensive skill that fires?
Total Attacks: 303 Hits: 265 Misses: 38 CHs: 18
Attacked: 1049
Total Dodges: 63 Dodge Percentage: 6
Hit Percentage: 87 % Crit Rate 5 %
Shieldblocks: 255 Shieldblock Percentage: 24
Parries: 517 Parry Percentage: 49
Ripostes: 117 Riposte Percentage: 11
517 parries? wow. seems a steady 50% and both parry and shieldblock are at the same level. wouldnt it make more sense if shieldblock fired more than parry? just thinking that since my swordarm is occupied sticking it in your belly i would be less ready to parry than to bring up my other arm holding my huge shield...
just wonderin.
Parry > Shieldblock
Kills: 88

From what i remember about tanking skill calculations, it sorta goes like this.
you get attacked...
it checks parry
if parry doesnt fire it checks shieldblock
if shieldblock doesnt fire it checks dodge
OK now lets do some math! yay!
Using your latest info...
Parry Rate: 2534 / 5193 = 48.8%
# of Attacks Not Parried = 5193 - 2534 = 2659
Shieldblock Rate: 1298 / 2659 = 48.8%
# of Attacks Not Sb'd = 2659 - 1298 = 1361
Dodge Rate: 325 / 1361 = 23.9%
Your parry and shieldblock skill should be close to each other. Since warrior types aren't expert dodgers (rogues are), the dodge number seems reasonable.
Its not that parry is better, its just that its calculated first.

Tending to agree with Klurg. Arent palydorks nifty enough with all their holyass spells? Warriors, who devote all their time to swordbearing, not distracting to any prayers, should be even better in melee skills as it seems from common logic :-/
